I really appreciate you. You will never know how much. Yes it is time for me to leave St. Louis. I am at a stand still and have been for years. God can not help me if don't trust him. And I am not willing to make a change. Change is a must for growth. I really want you to help me, but Austin or San Antonia, Is the place I would like to relocate to.  And my best friend would like to relocate to, We just want to transfer our Sec 8.

Let me tell you a little bit about my self. I am a single mom of 44 with a son 6. I have a sister that is slightly challenge. But she lives on her own I just take care of her bills. She will be with me and my son.

Hi Denise,
Thank you so much for checking on me.  I'm currently waiting for Housing to inspect an apartment I'm trying to get but I've gotten the run around so much from where I currently stay to where I'm trying to go that I'm about ready to pull my hair out.  It's a long story but this whole process needs to be fixed where someone like me that's new to it can understand how to get through it.  First I was lead to believe that housing had inspected the new place - then found out they had not.  Then I was told by the Manager of the new place that she couldn't let me in because I owe too much money to  my current resident and that housing would have to intervene.  Of course - that was not true - per housing - they don't have anything to do the lease or contracts signed - that's strictly between the landlord and the tenant.  The current resident Manager and I worked all of that out.  Now I'm waiting to hear from the new manager to see if she is going to get the apartment inspected and let me in as my voucher will be up on February 6th.  If she doesn't - I don't know what to do since my time will almost be expired.  I figured the townhomes and duplexes would be even harder to try and get in to and then there's having to pay security deposits and applications fees over and over again.  I'm at my wits end.  I've just asked God to take over - I'm exhausted!  Thank you so much for helping and for caring.  You are a wonderful person!  May God bless you in everything you do.  Thanks again for all your help and for asking about me.  Sorry for venting.
Have a great day!

Denise,

I attended the Rich Dad Poor Dad conference on Saturday, and went to your section eight portion of the program. I wanted to say thank you for being so passionate about section eight. I am 23 yrs old and just getting into real estate, and I feel that I share the same desire to help people as you do. I have served in an orphanage in Thailand for six months and remain in touch with them. I have seen how those children, when given an opportunity to better themselves (they were brought out of leaper colonies) grabbed that opportunity and ran with it. You cannot expect a family to be a family when they either do not have a place to live, or spend all their time working to afford the place that they are in. I believe in the good of people and I believe in doing anything I can to give somebody a chance if I can. Don’t get me wrong, I do want to make money, but the satisfaction of knowing that you got to help somebody back on their feet far outweighs the monetary value. I guess I had no real point to say, but I did want to say thank you for being a compassionate person.

Thanks for your time,

When I called your office I was so stressed and had only 5 days to find a home. You made me feel so at ease by telling me not to worry that the Lord has all ready worked it out. You sent me to 3 very nice homes and the one that I chose was the one with the pool. I was to afraid to tell my children or my husband because I did not wont to get their hopes up. Again, you said ,  “Billie,  this is your home, you have to believe it and claim it in the name of Jesus” . Denise Thank You, Thank You for being there for me and not making me feel less or something was wrong with me because I am on Section 8.

recently purchased and read your book and found it quite helpful.  The forward in the book where you describe the reasons why you do what you do to me are more compelling than the content, though your process is just as important.  My reasons for pursuing section 8 are not purely financial.  My wife was diagnosed with a terminal brain tumor a couple years back.  It about killed her and it appears that she is living on leased time.  In the process we came close to bankruptcy, my wife almost ended up in a nursing home for the remainder of her years and my children lives were turned up side down for a while.

We would like to become section 8 investors and try to in the process help families who have terminal members so that they can enjoy the time with each other as opposed to taking the route I chose as I was really unaware of what else to do.  Work it off, pay it off, lose sleep, and time together.

Please understand how serious I am about becoming an active section 8 investor.  To be honest, I really never thought of section 8’ers as baby makers, people who worked the system, etc.  I agree those folks are out there and will continue to take advantage of the good that our country offers its citizens.  It is my experience and the people I met along the way as I took my wife to over 15 MRI’s and an 18 hour craniotomy that changed my views before I read your book.

Thanks

Denise,

I wanted you to know that I received many positive comments about your presentation last week.  In fact, one of our support staff said,  “I don’t know anything about real estate, but that lady was a great speaker.  I learned a lot!”

Thank you for giving us your time.
